The managing partner, Caroline Schmidt-Lucke, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor at the Charité, is initiator and author of several articles published in high-ranking peer-reviewed journals and over 100 presentations on international congresses. The research results are highly cited and have found their way into international guidelines. Innovative relevant approaches, solutions with meticulous attention to detail and consequent implementation have been granted awards nationally and internationally.
High experience comes from a broad medical training with specialisation in internal medicine and cardiology in Universities in Germany and Great Britain. Following a perennial research stay in one of the world’s leading institutes on vascular regenerative basic and clinical research she subsequently led a multi-user laboratory for genetically modified organisms for her own working groups and other groups over many years. The founder has many years experience with steering and managing of multidisciplinary teams. The successful research was guaranteed through continuous projects eligible for external funding and grants of Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), Charité and industry. Her own focus is cardiovascular research and regeneration medicine. She is certified according to German Medicine Law (AMG), German Act on Medical Devices (MPG), Genetic Technology Safety Regulations, and Animal Protection and Experimentation.
She is associated Scientist of the Berlin-Brandenburg Center for Regenerative Therapies (BCRT) and Assistant Professor of the Charité – University Medical Department in Berlin.
